This spring's track project is a ground up reconstruction of about 400 feet of the running track. Once the rail and old ties have been removed, both a Bobcat model 331 excavator and a 1952 Cletrac model HG42 mini dozer were pressed into service to clear the old dirt "ballast" and prepare the right of way for new ties and relaid rail.

It has been a busy year so far for the air jacks. Today it was Johnstown 311 that needed a lift, so the trucks can be sent off-site for rebuilding.

A Canron Mark 2 tamper has recently been added to the Museum's stable of work equipment to enable more ties to be replaced in the annual track rebuilding projects.
« The "Oversized Load" arrived on a flatbed trailer after a four day journey from Massachusetts.

Philly PCC 2743 found itself in an elevated situation when its front truck was removed so its two motors could be sent to our friends at Huntingdon Electric Motor Service for rebuilding.
