History of Rio #1875

Operating in Brazil, the open cars had a much different appearance when built with open dashes.

 January, 1965

A string of flatcars full of open cars made a very strange sight in 1965 as the open trolleys cars were delivered to the museums.

 September, 1965

First operated in 1966, and still needing quite a bit of work, getting car #1875 operating was a major accomplishment for the volunteers at that time.

 July, 1966

A ceremony was held at our Community Day, attended by numerous local and state dignitaries.

Car 1875 is the only open trolley currently operating in Pennsylvania.
