NJT PCC #6 on the City Subway Line On February 24, 2000, we see NJT #6 near the end of its revenue service life in Newark. Note the pantograph, affixed to pull power from the overhead catenary, installed in anticipation of the new LRV's to begin service on August 27, 2001. You can see the trolley pole resting in its hook at the rear. Text and Photo by Peter Farrell, (c) 2000, 2011 February, 2000 |
