History of NJT PCC #6

This photo shows NJT PCC#6 in its configuration as Twin City Rapid Transit #325. This is believed to be a pre-revenue service test run in December 1946, and may be the oldest shot of #6/#325 in existence.

On February 24, 2000, we see NJT #6 near the end of its revenue service life in Newark. Note the pantograph, affixed to pull power from the overhead catenary, installed in anticipation of the new LRV's to begin service on August 27, 2001. You can see the trolley pole resting in its hook at the rear.
